As it continues to the north of the main Himalayan range on to the high and dry Tibetan Plateau, the scenery is equally breathtaking.\r\n\r\nStarting from the foothills of Lamjung with the magnificent Annapurna series along the way and crossing over the Thorong-la Pass at the maximum altitude of 5,614m, it gives you a geographically and ethnically varied experience of trekking in Nepal. By the time you cruise down the valley of Kali Gandaki, the deepest gorge in the world (three times deeper than the Grand Canyon) after Thorong-la pass, you will recognize the cultural changes across the region that you have traversed. Bringing all of these elements together in one trek, the Annapurna Circuit, makes for a truly once in a lifetime experience.
