The Everest Base Camp trek is the classic Himalayan journey. After a dramatic flight to Lukla, you walk through Sherpa villages, rhododendron forests and monasteries, acclimatising in Namche Bazaar and Dingboche before reaching the foot of the world's highest mountain.
Our 14-day itinerary includes two acclimatisation days, a sunrise hike to Kala Patthar (5,545 m) for the best close-up view of Everest, and experienced guides trained in altitude first aid.
Day 1
Meet & greet at the airport, transfer to hotel and trek briefing.

Day 2
Early flight to Lukla and an easy walk along the Dudh Koshi river.

Day 3
Cross suspension bridges and climb to the Sherpa capital.
Max altitude: 3,440 m
Day 4
Hike to the Everest View Hotel for first views of Everest.
Max altitude: 3,880 m
Day 5
Visit the famous monastery with Ama Dablam as a backdrop.
Max altitude: 3,860 m
Day 6
Enter alpine terrain beneath Island Peak and Lhotse.

Day 7
Hike Nangkartshang ridge for views of Makalu.

Day 8
Pass the climbers' memorials at Thukla.

Day 9
Walk the Khumbu Glacier moraine to base camp.

Day 10
Sunrise summit of Kala Patthar, then descend.

Retrace the trail via Namche Bazaar.

Morning flight back; farewell dinner.

Private departures available on any date.
It is a challenging but non-technical trek. Anyone with good fitness who can walk 5–7 hours a day can complete it with proper acclimatisation.
Weather delays are common. We build in flexibility and can arrange a helicopter transfer (extra cost, often shared) to keep your trip on schedule.
Yes. Since April 2023, foreign trekkers in Nepal's national parks and conservation areas must trek with a government-licensed guide arranged through a registered agency such as Ascend DMC Nepal.
Your policy must cover trekking up to the maximum altitude of the route and include emergency helicopter evacuation. We check your insurance before departure.
Yes. Every trek is available as a private departure on any date, or you can join one of our fixed group departures.
